FIRST BIOETHICS CONFERENCE ON CANCER HEATLH DISPARITIES RESEARCH

Editorial Statement: Dr. Neil Schulman a professor/physician at Emory University School of Medicine and am impressed with your FIRST BIOETHICS CONFERENCE ON CANCER HEATLH DISPARITIES RESEARCH. For many years without any success I have been raising issues with media, the medical profession, hospital administrators, legislators, etc. THE INSANITY AND INHUMANE POLICIES IN THIS COUNTRY which allow certain STATE MEDICAID PROGRAMS to prohibit access of patients to Medicaid support when they have early signs of cancer.  The policies in these states PROHIBIT access to early treatment via Medicaid AND THE PATIENTS ARE SENT LETTERS TELLING THEM THAT THEY CANNOT GET COVERAGE UNTIL THEIR CANCER SPREADS.  ACCORDING TO THE LAW, THE PATIENTS MUST BE DISABLED FROM THEIR DISEASE BEFORE THEY CAN GET ACCESS TO MEDICAL CARE. I have had personal discussions relating to this issue with a top administrator for the Medicaid program in Georgia.  He stated that this was VERY SAD but as a government empl

What is happening to US

Written by, Dennis S Murray Sr. It’s been about three years now sense Former President Bush allowed many American’s to lose their life saving, homes, took us into two Wars, and more. However, for the present two and a quarter years President Obama has tried to reason with Congress to pass regulations, policy, and bills to get our economy on its feet, but we continue to see gridlock in our political system as Congressional members fight like selfish children for the last piece of the pie.   We have many common sense programs or policies that can help the American people stay in their homes and get back to work once again, but common sense is not what we are dealing with when it comes to our political system. Even though President Obama has drop the ball on occasion himself we shouldn’t abandon simple principles that can govern our lives better by being courageous and not stupid. Their is plenty of the blame to go around regardless of whom you talk to say; Michael Moore on De

Committing To the Our Children is the First Step in healing America

Editorial Statement Lead Organizer, Lifelines to Healing Campaign PICO National Network             Rev. Michael McBride Even if politicians don’t want to talk about the barriers facing urban youth, we need to! We’re kicking-off this national campaign to save a generation of young people from violence, joblessness and prison with a huge public action meeting hosted by the Micah Project, the local PICO federation. Thousands are expected to attend – including 500 clergy from across the country and buses from as far away as Birmingham and Orlando. All the key decision-makers including New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu have committed to show up -- except the U.S. Department of Justice. Will you help us fill this empty seat by calling the Department of Justice today? For too long, too many elected officials and the media have been silent as more and more of our young people are put behind bars. Strong public leadership from the DOJ is essential to building the will to end the d

We have many qualify veterans available to achieve the goals and meet your expectations NOW ... Stop looking the other way and hirer one or two of these courageous veterans.

Editorial Comments/Statements :To All Americans:

To All Americans: By Bruce Carter It is evident that America as read in the constitution is not the America we live in. When state employees commit perjury, tamper with witnesses, obstruct justice and potential bribery and its just another day at the office what has America become or is this what it has been all the time. These actions are all in part to terminate the contract of Wag Program in the State of Louisiana and oppression is the leading ingredient. Wag didn't waste, abuse or misuse funds they only said more could and should be done for the children matter of fact Wag served children and employed individuals in Louisiana the entire summer and did not and has not received one cent from the Louisiana Department of Education. Director John.Dupree under oath confirmed that an executive employee of the State of Texas contacted him in reference to Wag Program which only fed children and attempted to provide hope to a group of oppressed people. The same John.Dupree under oat

America Has Turn its Back on Our Veterans

By Dennis S Murray Sr. What has this country come to when men and women whom have left there homes and entered into a world of service with know return. Sense World War I men and women have fought for this country only to come home alienated from society and the world. Just visit a Veterans Hospitals (VA) waiting room, clinic, and unemployment office      and you will witness the disappointment and outcry for the lack of real assistance and it inaccuracy. Too many Veterans across this country have lost everything after serving their country thereafter, while America Corporate greed and Government has turned their backs on them except when it comes too Veteran’s Day when the retail outlets are having a sale; city/town or county is having a parade; the President elect or elected officials are placing a reef for our honorable warriors at cemeteries nationally. Why are so many Veterans homelessness, unemployed, and lack of real health care in America? Each time these brave men and

How Do You Borrow Money to Give to Corp and Other Countries

"What has changed sense this article was published in March 2010"  Many of these banks has raised your rates while depleting you saving" What has changed? By Dennis S Murray                                                                                         The United States for years have given money to other countries for numerous reasons and have allowed them to invade the United States with there polices and regulations that only help foreign countries and not the American people. Israel gets billions of free money from the United States taxpayers in times of depression, while Israel is one of the top 25 counties in GDP per capital. But, corporations that received American’s bail-out funds and government grants pay there foreign workers with American’s tax-payers money. The American people should be outraged about their working dollars going into foreign hands while our underserved communities and children’s education is being cut across this nati

Corporate greed and private prison :Using cheap prison labor to build profits

By Charlene Muhammad 'What if every person was a factory and generating money; what’s the incentive to cut people loose, to not criminalize and to rehabilitate behavior?' Paul Wright, spokesperson of Prison Legal News LOS ANGELES  (FinalCall.com) - The Prison Industrial Complex is a growing industry comprised of a number of American corporations which develop household and business products, but human rights groups condemn them for netting profits which roll off the backs of prison inmates they claim are unjustly paid cents on the dollar. At issue, they charge, is a criminal justice system which herds primarily Black youth into the hands of private prison enterprises to work illegally under a modern-day slave system called “involuntary servitude,” disguised as prison work release programs.  According to a 2006 Bureau of Justice Statistics Bulletin, approximately 8 percent of Black males between 25 and 29 were inca

Who? s Hurting in this Ecomony

Who?s Hurting in this Economy October 31, 2011 by admin   Filed under Government Jobs By Dennis s. Murray Sr. For the last 11 years this economy has lost its grip with Corporations and Congressional leaders making promises they can’t keep and sucking the life out of the American people. This country’s dysfunctional leaders administering wars with corrupted banking policies have melted down the economy faster than a bit from a python snake, slowly killing you in your sleep. The leaders of this country continue to examine the problems but never heal them head on without holding hearings or Congressional debates on what to do. Not reacting when it comes to the Nation’s health and its people keeps the hurt going and going and members of Congress never see the hurt that they inflick on the people they were elected to serve, and only delay the solutions. Sense President Obama has been in office he has invested more time in corporate solutions than peo

USDA; Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi, Georgia, and Louisiana Regions

I posed the questions to USDA; Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi, Georgia, and Louisiana Regions being defiant in not helping the very people they profess to want to help “ undeserved, socially disadvantage, disfranchised ”. These Governors and Congressional leaders should be accountable for these programs that feed youth and undeserved communities in there states with Federal funding . Their programs should be audited by a private independent firm to show the wasteful neglect in their feeding programs. These states ranked in the top five for more than 10 years and know one has lifted and finger to asked why their are not doing there job .   Too many smoke scenes and red-tape under the sheets” and you the media need to review USDA’s continuing practices that keep our youth and communities starving when funding is allocated to handle this crisis through the Farm Bill Legislation, FNS, HHS nutritional, and other federal funded feeding programs . Where is the loyalty and compassion with US
