THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT CRIME IN THE U.S.A. IS INCREASING, POVERTY IS CLIMBING AMONG THE POOREST OF THE POOR, AND ALL OF US ARE ABOUT TO ENTER A TIME ZONE WHEN THESE RISING DANGEROUS POPULATION HUBS IN THE UNITED STATES WLL INCREASINGLY ENDANGER THE LIVES OF ALL OF US.  IT IS GOING TO HAVE A GIANT IMPACT ON THE SAFETY OF OUR CHILDREN AND OUR CHILDREN’S CHILDREN IN THE U.S.A.  THE AUTHOR’S BOTTOM LINE IS:  “IF WE WANT TO IMPROVE SOCIAL MOBILITY,  WE NEED TO FIND A BETTER WAY TO HELP DISADVANTAGED PARENTS AND THEIR CHILDREN.   IT IS NOT AS SIMPLE AS “GOVERNMENT FUNDING OF FOOD STAMPS, HOUSING, ETC.  IT IS NOT AS SIMPLE AS TEACHING ALGEBRA AND HISTORY IN SCHOOL.”  THESE CHILDREN ARE MORE AND MORE GROWING UP IN ONE PERSON FAMILY HOMES WITHOUT THE KIND OF STABILITY AND SUPPORT AND ORDER THAT THEY NEED TO SUCCEED IN LIFE.  SCIENTISTS NOW KNOW THAT EARLY STRESS AND TRAUMA HAS TREMENDOUS NEGATIVE EFFECTS ON THE BRAIN OF A CHILD AND THE ABSENCE OF STRONG AND SUPPORIVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH STABLE ADULTS INHIBITS A CHILD’S DEVELOPMENT OF A CRUCIAL SET OF COGNITIVE SKILLS CALLED EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONS.
 
The CORPORATE KID BOOK,  THE MOVIE, AND MOST IMPORTANT “THE CORPORATE KID MOVEMENT”  IS NOT A GOVERNMENT FUNDED EFFORT BUT A HUMANITARIAN MOVEMENT BY CARING AMERICANS TO PROVIDE A VEHICLE TO CONNECT THE “HAVES: WITH THE “HAVE-NOTS”……………………………………………
THIS CONCEPT INCLUDES  VOLUNTEERS DONATING  A SHARE OF STOCKTO EACH LOW INCOME KID AND/OR DONATING TIME SO THAT THESE KIDS HAVE INTERACTIONS WITH VOLUNTEERING ADULTS IN POSTIVE STRESS-FREE ENVIRONMENTS. IN THIS WAY WE CAN TEACH THESE VERY UNDRPRIVILEDGED KIDS HOW “THEY CAN USE THEIR CREATIVITY, THEIR EXISTING SKILLS, AND THEIR PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS TO CREATE BUSINESSES OR TO JOIN BUSINESSES WHICH CONTRIBUTE POSITIVELY TO THE HUMAN EXPERIENCE.’  WE ALSO WANT THEM TO KNOW THAT THE REST OF US IN THIS COUNTRY DO CARE ABOUT THEM AND WE WANT THEM TO OWN A BIT OF AMERICA.  NO MATTER WHAT CAREER THEY MAY PURSUE………….THEY SHOULD HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY
TO ENGAGE IN THESE POSITIVE EXPEREIENCES.  NOT ONLY WILL WE HELP THESE KIDS, BUT THOSE WHO VOLUNTEER AND THOSE WHO DONATE TO THIS EFFORT WILL RECEIVE A JOYFUL POSITIVE PSYCHOLOGICAL BOOST……………
